Norm is Chair of NoJetsTO, and a board member on Waterfront for All and The Angel Foundation.

On the TCDSB Board, Norm is Vice Chair of Corporate Services, Trustee Expenditure Committee and serves on the following optional committees: Social Justice Committee, Governance and Policy Committee, Catholic Parent Involvement Committee, African Canadian Committee, and the Portuguese Committee.

Norm was born and raised in the west end of Toronto. Norm proudly attended Immaculate Conception School & Parish (where Norm also got married), followed by De La Salle. It was this education that gave Norm his foundation in faith, imbuing life lessons in Norm that guide him to this very day.

Norm fell in love with Toronto’s waterfront after seeing Waterfront Toronto’s 30 year plan for the waterfront. These plans convinced Norm to move to the waterfront where he still lives. As the Chair of NoJetsTO, Norm honed his grassroots skills and won the battle against the proposal to fly jets from the island airport. Norm now works with Waterfront for All, a group whose aim is to get every Torontonian engaged in our waterfront. Waterfront for All held a highly successful waterfront summit (www.waterfrontforall.ca/summit) that Norm helped to plan and execute.

In business, Norm ran his first company at the age of 14 with his older brother. After graduating George Brown College, Norm started an IT company which he later sold. Norm now works as a Senior CRM Consultant.

When it was time to choose his children’s schooling, the choice was clear. Norm wanted his children to get the same faith based education & foundation that made him the person he is today, who cares deeply about the well being of others and his city.
